SOCIAL CONCERNS

Bereavement
This ministry provides an organized response to the needs of parishioners grieving the loss of a loved one.  Members may assist in planning funeral liturgies and providing meals.  They show support by being present at the Vigil Service, Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal and afterwards as needed.  Volunteers are welcome to participate with the Parish in compassionate care and comfort to those who are grieving.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
The Shawl Ministry labors in love to provide a tangible sign of prayer to comfort those in grief or distress. Shawls can also be given to enhance prayer or mark special occasions. All this is done with a crochet hook, knitting needles, looms and a lot of love. If you don't knit or crochet, members are willing to teach you.

Thursdays 10:30am - 12:00pm in the Annex Building, Room #3

Community Ministry of North Augusta (CMONA)
CMONA is a consortium of 19 Churches established to serve the needs of the poor in our community.  CMONA manages a thrift shop, food distribution center and financial assistance program for those in emergency situations.  Volunteers serve in areas of interest or expertise.  In addition to service to the poor, working with CMONA fosters an ecumenical spirit among volunteers.  Parishioners also support these activities with donations of food, clothing and furniture.

Soup Kitchen
Help feed the hungry!  On the first and third Friday of each month a group of parishioners work at the Masters Table Soup Kitchen preparing and serving a full meal to approximately 200 people.  Volunteers are needed to help plan the menu, prepare meals, serve the food, wash dishes and clean the facility.  Help with any or all of these activities is welcome.
