Established in 1948, Our Lady of Peace strives to be a faith community giving witness to Jesus Christ through all of its ministries. Under the leadership of the parish's first pastor, the late Reverend Joseph Murphy, a school was built and was staffed by the Sisters of the Order of St Francis for many years. Today, the school is guided by very dedicated, committed lay people. Over the years the parish has continued to grow and in the early 1980's, its parishioners undertook the task of building a new church, completing it in 1988. During the process of "Building Church Together" the people of OLP found themselves being built up more and more into a living edifice of faith that remains a vibrant faith community today.
Building on our rich heritage of faith formation and education, and joyously embracing our cultural diversity, our mission is to grow as a vibrant Catholic faith community in service to God and neighbor.
